StB Capital Partners contributes to major political parties at Federal, State and local council levels because we recognise that these groups require financial support to maintain their operations as part of Australia’s democratic processes.

A well-functioning political system is critical to business, as it helps ensure a stable environment within which we can operate. Contributions are provided on an even-handed basis to the greatest extent possible. In addition, and in line with many other companies, we pay fees to attend events organised by the major political parties, where those events allow for discussion on major issues with key policy makers relevant to our business and investment interests. Such discussions play an important role in Governments and political parties at all levels consulting, formulating and implementing policies that are relevant to our activities, as well as receiving real world feedback on the implementation of those policies.

We support a fully transparent process for contributions to, and attendance at, events organised by, the major political parties. We fully comply with all relevant Federal and State Government Political Donations reporting requirements and will openly respond to media questions on such payments.
